We are excited to share a proud moment from our academy – Rochan K. Dhanasekur secured an excellent 4th place finish in the 2nd Namma Chess Academy Tamil Nadu State Level Children’s & Open Chess Tournament 2025, held on 8th June at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai.
Rochan competed in the Under-14 boys category, where 69 players took part. Entering the tournament as the 16th seed, he delivered a stellar performance, scoring 5.5 out of 7 points and earning a remarkable performance rating of 1739.
This tournament featured tough competition from across the state, but Rochan showed great focus, confidence, and maturity throughout his games. His results reflect the hard work he’s been putting in during training and his passion for the game.
