We are proud to highlight the outstanding performance of our student, Samrudh M, at the 37th Tamil Nadu State Under-11 Open FIDE Rated Chess Championship, held at Velammal Matriculation School, Mogappair, Chennai. Competing against 373 players from across all districts, Samrudh scored an impressive 7 out of 9 points, remained unbeaten, and secured a place in the top 10, finishing in 9th position overall.
His solid result earned him a 22-point FIDE rating gain, further establishing him as one of the most promising young chess talents in Tamil Nadu.
Born in 2015, Samrudh has been training with Tamil Chess Coach for over two years. In this time, he has consistently demonstrated a deep and intuitive understanding of the game. He is especially known for his sharp calculation skills and a natural feel for endgames — often finding imaginative and creative solutions that surprise even his coach.
One of the most remarkable qualities about Samrudh is his ability to approach endgame positions with clarity, creativity, and confidence. In class, he has often solved complex endings in ways even I hadn’t considered — a true sign of original thinking and advanced chess understanding.
With his disciplined work ethic, sharp mind, and fearless attitude at the board, Samrudh is on a strong path toward greater success. We look forward to many more achievements from him in the years ahead.

Hearty congratulations to Samrudh M, and coach.
I wish him to success in future of his chess career
