We’re proud to announce a standout performance by our student Ananya Ranjithkumar, who was awarded 1st place in the Girls category at the 2nd ChessFusion Tournament, held recently in the Under-16 section.
Ananya scored an impressive 5.5 out of 7 points, finishing 3rd overall out of 58 players and securing the top spot among all girls. Entering the tournament as the 3rd seed, she lived up to expectations and more, showing consistency, calm under pressure, and great tactical awareness. Her performance rating of 1672 highlights the level of play she displayed throughout the event.
Tournaments like these are highly competitive, especially in older age categories where experience and endurance play a big role. Ananya’s ability to stay focused through all 7 rounds and emerge as the best-performing girl in the entire field speaks volumes of her dedication and chess maturity.
🏅 At Tamil Chess Coach, we are proud to see our students not only compete, but win with confidence and class.
Congratulations, Ananya! This is a huge step forward, and we’re excited to see what’s next in your chess journey!
