We’re delighted to celebrate the excellent performance of Roger Melvin R V, who clinched the 2nd place trophy at the Imayaselvi Memorial 1st District Level Chess Tournament, held on 5th October 2025 in Trichy.

Competing in the Under-15 category with 33 players across 6 rounds, Roger showcased solid play and impressive consistency, scoring 5 points out of 6. Starting as the 20th seed, he powered through the field to finish 2nd, with a commendable performance rating of 1698.

Roger’s result reflects his hard work, calm focus, and competitive spirit, making this a fantastic milestone in his chess journey.
