We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievement of our student Anandita Brahmachari, who secured an impressive 2nd place in the Under-12 Girls category at the 2nd Namma Chess Academy Tamil Nadu State Level Children’s & Open Chess Tournament 2025, held on 8th June at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai.
Anandita entered the event as the 10th seed among 44 participants, and delivered a strong performance by scoring 5.5 out of 7 points. With a performance rating of 1651, she proved her strength and composure in a very competitive field.
Her journey through the tournament showed a great balance of calculation, confidence, and focus. Finishing 2nd from a mid-level seeding shows not just her ability, but also her fighting spirit and determination to rise above expectations.
