We are delighted to share the outstanding performance of Rochan K Dhanasekur, who secured the 2nd place trophy at the 1st Shri Sampath Memorial Inter-School Chess Tournament, held on 7th September 2025 at MVM Mangadu.
Rochan competed in the Under-14 category, where he faced a strong field of 72 players across 5 rounds. Starting as the 57th seed, he stunned the leaderboard by scoring a perfect 5 out of 5, showing excellent composure, sharp tactics, and remarkable focus throughout the event.
With this dominant run, Rochan achieved an extraordinary performance rating of 2200, making this one of his most impressive achievements to date.
