We are delighted to share a proud achievement of our student Hani Shakshitha B, who secured 1st place in the U12 Girls category at the Chanakya Chess Academy 8th TN State Level Children’s Chess Tournament – 2026, held in Madurai.
Hani delivered an outstanding performance, scoring a perfect 7 points out of 7 rounds, finishing as the undisputed champion of her category. Starting as seed number 10, she exceeded expectations and produced a truly dominant tournament performance.
What makes this result even more impressive is the way she maintained consistency throughout the event. She stayed focused in every round, handled the pressure well, and showed excellent fighting spirit from start to finish. Her final performance rating of 2212 reflects just how strong her tournament was.
Scoring 7/7 in a competitive children’s event is never easy. It requires not only chess skill, but also concentration, discipline, confidence, and the ability to keep winning round after round without losing momentum. Hani showed all of these qualities brilliantly.
This achievement is a wonderful reward for her hard work, regular training, and dedication to improvement. We are very happy to see her efforts turning into such a memorable result.
